48 Day Juice Fast: Day 3

As I write this, it is lunch time on day three of my and David's 48 day juice fast. I wanted to share an update yesterday but I never had a chance. In addition to a full day of work, our Company's giveaway drawing was yesterday, so most of my evening was spent sifting through and qualifying over 600 entries.

Yesterday was a tough day, I felt very achy and uncomfortable. I also was so distracted by work that I didn't get enough water, which I'm sure made things worse. David did not seem to have any trouble yesterday besides cravings, which I'm having a lot of too. I've noticed I've been craving things I don't normally crave, strange.

Today I'm feeling a lot better and more energetic. We will be facing a bit of a challenge this evening...going to the movies about an hour away. My friend Ashley was an extra in the new movie "Wanderlust" and we are going to the opening night in support of her (look for a really pretty hippie girl with long deep dark brown hair if you watch the movie)...and we are going to be sitting with a large group of our friends who will undoubtedly be eating popcorn and other foods. I'm thinking about bringing a couple of jars of juice in my purse.

So far at this point, I've had 16 ounces of carrot, apple and ginger juice...

...and in a few minutes I'll be cracking open another 16 ounces of green juice (kale, cucumber, celery, apple, pear, lemon, ginger) that I made earlier.

That's all I've got for now...we'll be doing another video soon!

  2. Hi Shelly, thanks!-- Juicer wise--I would recommend a Hurom Slow Juicer or Omega Vert Juicer...but they are pricey so if they aren't in your budget, go for the Breville.

I am doing it for health reasons (see first juice fast post from the day before day 1)and my husband David and I are also doing it for lent. So it's for health and spiritual reasons. :)
